Daelia's Biscuits for Cheese were inspired by our love of cheese and our pursuit of a good cheese companion. All products are made from fresh natural ingredients and are baked to order for the retailer to maximize freshness.
Our journey to find the right companion to our favorite cheeses led us to the Mediterranean region, where the first cheese likely originated. It’s here that people first enjoyed fruits and nuts with their cheeses. A region full of diverse food and far reach, the simple delicacy of enjoying cheese with those classic ingredients eventually spread throughout Europe.
Since then, cultures have adopted many ways to enjoy cheese. Even though, some of the best companions are still those simple fruits, nuts and breads first used in the Mediterranean.
As the tradition made it to the United States, Americans gradually developed more refined palettes increasing their fervor for wine and cheese. For the last 50 years, they had relied on imported crackers and breads to enjoy with their cheeses. Daelia’s believed that Americans could create bold new pairings that paid homage to the European traditions but were made in America with the bounty of the country’s amazing fruits, nuts and grains. Daelia’s began in 2009 with a singular purpose: elevate the simple joy of cheese.
We pulled from the heritage of the Mediterranean where cheese first began and created an all-natural product that would complement the many unique flavors of cheese. Baking roasted nuts and specially selected dried fruits to a bread twice baked to a perfect golden brown, we created an ideal companion to your favorite cheeses.
